Dr Srinivasan’s research is focused on developing bio-plausible (neuromorphic) machine learning algorithms and hardware architectures to build energy-efficient and secure AI-based technologies.
Collaborative research project
Dr Srinivasan’s research project aims to harness the tenets of spike-based neuromorphic computing to develop energy-efficient and secure machine learning algorithms. Specific research foci will include:
- Brain inspired Spiking Neural Networks (SNN) training algorithms
 - Bio-plausible SNN architectures
 - Neuro-inspired approaches for lifelong learning
 - Spike based neuromorphic computing for secure deep learning
 - Deep SNN architectures for improved energy efficiency during inference
