Congratulations to members of the FGC who have recently been awarded an interdisciplinary grant from the 2022 Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics Internal Research Funding Scheme. Our project, entitled, ‘Feminist Mentoring for the Contemporary University,' aims to re-define mentoring and generate new practices of feminist mentorship within the academy.

Catherine Helen Spence Memorial Scholarship: Information Session
The Catherine Helen Spence Memorial Scholarship is offered every four years and provides financial support for a South Australian woman to investigate social problems or study in the field of social science in Australia and overseas. The value of the scholarship in 2022 is $25,000. An information evening is being held at the Office for Women this Thursday (101 Grenfell St) from 5 – 6 pm. (Register your interest to attend by emailing the Office for Women at DHSOFWEvents@sa.gov.au.) Applications are now open and will remain open until 12:00 pm Monday 5 September 2022. Alliance of Gender Scholars
On the 26th of June Dr Connie Musolino and Dr Tanya Zivkovic, the new coordinators for the Alliance of Gender Scholars, held a meeting with new and interested members' about the group's aims and ideas for sessions the group can facilitate in the future.
