Giving the gift of education

Feng Fu donor

Feng Fu’s contributions to the University of Adelaide can be traced back to when he started his Masters of Commerce (Accounting) degree. While studying, he set up a soccer team, worked as a teaching assistant, and won the Commerce Award for Excellent Tutoring in 2006.

In 2018, he established the Feng Fu Scholarship for female undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences or Faculty of Sciences.

Through this scholarship, Feng encourages women to pursue careers in STEM fields, which are traditionally male-dominated. The scholarship supports undergraduate students from the second year of their degree onwards, offering financial support for up to five years.

Feng acknowledges that having a daughter inspired him to create a scholarship for women. “I plan to encourage my daughter to take up the pursuit of knowledge, and a good education, just as I did.”

In establishing this scholarship, I hope to pass on the gift of education to other young women.Feng Fu

“I have great memories from my time at University which have served to be a great inspiration and motivation for me,” said Feng.

Feng is now the chief portfolio manager for hedge funds in China, and remains strongly connected to the University.
