COVID-19 Student Support
Our students need your support to ensure they can continue their studies and secure their future.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on all of our lives.
Since the launch of our Student Support Package in April, more than 3,000 University of Adelaide students have received urgent assistance, with relief provided through emergency hardship grants, IT, accommodation and food.
The University and the Adelaide University Union continues to receive countless emails from students who do not know how they are going to continue to study and afford basic living and housing expenses; made even more difficult for those who have dependent family members. A significant number of our students are also far from home, their families and support networks.
While some of our students may receive government assistance, many are not eligible.
We are experiencing an international crisis and support is needed now to ensure we can continue to address students’ urgent financial concerns, so they can maintain their studies and secure their futures.
With so many students in acute financial stress, we need the help of our community today.
The University, in partnership with the Adelaide University Union, has launched a comprehensive Student Support Package which includes academic, wellbeing and emergency hardship grants.
Our senior executive are very generously supporting this fund and we are now inviting you to join us in showing your support. Your gift ensures we can help the students at our University that need it the most.
Our program of hardship grants will support students to ensure they are safely housed, fed, and well-equipped to continue their studies.
Help us support students in crisis.
Your gift, no matter how big or small, will be delivered to our students in need, helping them to continue their studies knowing they are supported to achieve their best, in every way.
Every dollar you give will provide immediate financial relief, with 100% of your gift going directly to helping those students in crisis.
If you are able to make a gift, your generosity, no matter how big or small, will have a direct impact on the lives of our students. Make your gift online today.
Staff know first-hand the financial hardships students are currently facing. They are deeply invested and committed to the welfare of our students.
Our University’s Executive is committed to our students' success and wellbeing and has unanimously agreed to donate 20% of their salary to start our philanthropic efforts. We now invite other members of our community to contribute.
I am proud of how the University community has responded to COVID-19. We have stood together in a time of crisis and rallied behind the many students who have been impacted by the pandemic.Professor Mike Brooks FTSE FACS, Acting Vice-Chancellor and President
