More Ways to Give
There are many ways you can support our students and researchers, and we welcome the opportunity to discuss how you would like to give.
Give from overseas
We have a number of generous alumni living overseas, who make generous gifts that support scholarships for students, fund cutting-edge research, and establish endowment funds - ensuring a financially sustainable future for our University.
Residents of Canada
The University of Adelaide is prescribed as a 'university outside Canada' with Canada's Revenue Agency. The University's donation receipt may be used by Canadian donors to claim a non-refundable tax credit for Canadian income tax purposes.
Residents of United States of America
Donors in the US may be eligible for a tax deduction through the British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF) Approved Institutions list.
- Who are the BSUF?
The British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF) has served as a catalyst for tax efficient funding by USA taxpayers of educational, literary and scientific institutions in the British Commonwealth of Nations.
- How do I make a donation through the BSUF?
Credit card donation
To make a donation by credit card to the University of Adelaide that qualifies for a USA tax deduction, go to the BSUF website, click "donate", then "credit cards", and follow the instructions.
BSUF Donor Form
Please download and complete the BSUF donor form and forward with your donation to the University's BSUF representative, as noted on the form.
Residents of Singapore
We currently do not have a charitable foundation in Singapore, however you can still support Singaporean students by donating to the Singapore Adelaide Alumni Fund.
Residents of the United Kingdom
We currently do not have a charitable foundation set up in the United Kingdom, but we hope to have one set up very soon. Please email us to receive updates on this as they become available.

Gifts of shares
Gifts in kind
If you have an item of cultural significance that you would like to donate to the University, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you. We are registered with the Federal Government's cultural gifts program, which encourages people to donate cultural items to organisations like ours.
To discuss gifting an item to the University, please contact our Development team on +61 8 8313 5800 or email@example.com.
Workplace giving offers staff the opportunity to make a regular donation directly from their pay through payroll deduction. The amount you choose to donate is deducted on a fortnightly basis from your salary on a pre-tax basis.
Workplace gifts don't attract a tax-deductible receipt as you are directly receiving the benefit from your pre-tax salary deduction. The details of the deductions will be sent to you at the end of the tax year.
You are welcome to choose a particular Faculty, School, or area of research to support, or you can direct your gift to the Augustus Short Scholarship Fund in support of disadvantaged students.
You can set up your giving through Staff Services Online here.
