    Victoria Bick

    Executive Director, Global Engagement

    As Executive Director, Global Engagement, Victoria is responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of the University’s comprehensive Global Strategy Framework designed to extend the University’s reputation, reach, and revenue generation opportunities. Victoria leads the implementation of the University’s framework to develop major partnerships with universities, government agencies, and organisations around the world.

    Prior to her role with the University, Victoria worked for the Australian Government Department of Education. She has also held senior positions at Macquarie University, Australian Catholic University, and the University of Queensland, and has an established international education and government network across Australia, North America, South America, India, Israel, and the Pacific region.

    Victoria holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Tasmania, a Master of Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology, and a Certificate in Change Management from the Australian Institute of Management.

     

    Beth Eastall, Administration Officer

    Administration Officer

    As the Administration Officer, Beth assists the Executive Director and Global Engagement Branch with administrative tasks, including office management, diary management, financial requisitions, and engagement projects.

    Beth has a diverse background in office administration, financial management, and customer service. She has worked in various industries including retail, insurance, law, and agriculture, and has her own small business.

    Phillip Fredericks

    Phillip Fredericks

    Associate Director, Global Partnerships

    Phillip has over 20 years of international education experience across the higher education, study abroad and exchange, English language (ELICOS), and continuing education sectors.

    As Associate Director, Global Partnerships, Phillip leads the University of Adelaide’s international partnership strategy and engagement activities across university, corporate, government and sponsor partners.

    Phillip holds a BA (Hons I), BCom, and Masters of International Relations and Asian Politics from the University of Queensland.

    Chen Wang

    Global Partnerships Manager

    As a Global Partnerships Manager, Chen identifies, develops and strengthens the University’s partnerships in Northeast Asia and contributes to the development and implementation of the University’s global strategy.

    Chen has held a number of roles in the higher education sector, including international admission and recruitment, student mobility, and learning and teaching support.

    Chen is an alumna of the University of Adelaide (Master of Educational Studies and Graduate Diploma in Education), and also holds a Bachelor of Science from Ocean University of China.

    Global Partnerships Manager

    Daniel is a Global Partnerships Manager supporting the development and growth of the University’s partnerships in North America and South Asia.

    He has previous experience in international student recruitment across a broad range of markets, in addition to experience in market research, brand management, and international business development.

    Daniel is an alumnus of the University of Adelaide (Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) and Master of Commerce (Marketing)), and also holds a Diploma of Market Research from the Australian Market Research Society.

    Rosa Pearson

    Global Partnerships Manager

    Rosa is a Global Partnerships Manager leading the University’s engagement efforts across South East Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

    She has a decade of experience working in partnerships and student recruitment for various universities, including ANU, the University of Canberra, and Bond University. She has also worked in consulting at KPMG and PwC, and most recently for the Australian Department of Education.

    Rosa holds a Master of Strategic Communication and a Bachelor of Communication (Advertising and Marketing) from the University of Canberra.

    Global Partnerships Manager

    Susanne has over 20 years’ experience in international education cooperation, relationship management, business development, recruitment, and admissions.

    As a Global Partnerships Manager, Susanne manages and supports the University of Adelaide’s engagement with key strategic partners in the UK, Europe, and Singapore.

    Susanne previously worked at the University of South Australia and Flinders University in international admissions and marketing roles, and as a recruitment manager for IDP Education in Sweden.

    Celeste Yang

    Global Partnerships Officer

    As a Global Partnerships Officer, Celeste supports the activation and ongoing growth of partnerships in Northeast Asia. She also supports the development and implementation of the University’s international projects, including the Global Partnership Seed Funding Program and Articulation Partnership Development Framework.

    Celeste joined the University in 2018, and previously worked in the International Admissions and International Business Development teams.

    Celeste holds a Master of Teaching from the University of South Australia.

    Keith Rebello

    Global Partnerships Officer

    Keith supports the identification, activation and growth of key partnerships in North America and South Asia and contributes to the development and execution of partnership plans.

    Prior to working at the University of Adelaide, Keith worked at the Queensland Department of Education International as a Marketing Officer. He also worked as a Project Officer in the Education Queensland International Study Tours Team.

    Keith holds a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Sciences) from the University of Queensland and a Certificate IV in Project Management.

    Noe Trevino Lozano

    Global Partnerships Officer

    As a Global Partnerships Officer, Noe supports the development and growth of key partnerships in the UK and European region.

    Noe has held a number of roles at the University of Adelaide prior to working in the Global Engagement Branch, including Admissions Support Officer, Agreements Support Officer, and Accommodation Officer.

    Noe holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

     

    Linh Le

    Linh Le

    Manager, Recruitment and Partnerships (Vietnam)

    Linh has more than 15 years’ experience working in the education industry, predominantly focused on English language and secondary education.

    As the Manager, Recruitment and Partnerships (Vietnam), Linh coordinates and supports the execution of Global Partnership servicing plans, including transnational initiatives and partner engagement plans in Vietnam.

    Linh holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Southern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Vietnam National University.

    Thao Pham

    Thao Pham

    Senior Manager, Engagement (Vietnam, Cambodia)

    Thao is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the University’s reputation and engagement in Vietnam and Cambodia.

    In particular, Thao oversees the recruitment and support of Vietnamese and Cambodian students, alumni and partners, ensuring that they have a positive and rewarding experience at the University of Adelaide.

    Thao has over 11 years’ experience in international education, marketing and communications, having worked for various education organisations in the UK, Vietnam and Australia.

    Vanessa Carne-Cavagnaro

    Dr Vanessa Carne-Cavagnaro

    Senior Analyst

    Vanessa is responsible for providing high-level data and analysis of key metrics to help support decision-making, draft briefings and partnership reports, and report on branch and University partnership activities.

    Prior to her role with the University of Adelaide, Vanessa worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of California, Davis and Monash University. At Monash, Vanessa also worked in the Research Graduate School, University Planning and Statistics team, and Global Engagement team.

    Vanessa has a PhD from the University of Adelaide (Science) and a B. Sc (Hons) from Flinders University.

  • International Agreements

    Amelia Aranda

    Amelia Aranda Del Castillo

    Manager International Agreements

    Amelia provides advice on policy and procedures in relation to establishing and renewing international agreements, manages all aspects of the international agreements life cycle, and coordinates the drafting of agreement documents.

    Prior to working at the University of Adelaide, Amelia held a number of senior roles in Peru, including as the Head of the Quality Assurance Office at Citibank-Peru and Head of the Portfolio Risk Control Office at Santander Central Hispano Bank.

    Amelia holds a Bachelor of Accounting.

    Mariela Sotelo

    International Compliance & Agreements Officer

    Mariela has over 15 years’ experience in administration across various industries in Australia and Peru.

    As the International Compliance & Agreements Officer at the University of Adelaide, Mariela ensures international engagements are assessed and processed according to policies, procedures and foreign compliance obligations, and provides support on the implementation, establishment and review of agreements.

    She has a Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation, a Diploma of Business Administration, and a Diploma of Work, Health and Safety.

    Elizabeth Chang

    As the International Agreements Officer, Elizabeth supports the development of international agreements.

    Prior to her role in the Global Engagement Branch, she worked in an accounts payable role in the Faculty of Sciences and in procurement services at the University of Adelaide. 

    Elizabeth holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire and a Master of Social Science (Strategy and Diplomacy) from the National University of Malaysia.

    Manager, Global Engagement & Intelligence

    Beth leads the strategic planning and execution of communications and marketing for the Global Engagement Branch, and provides strategic planning and operational support for events and international visits.

    She has over 12 years’ experience working in marketing, communications and project management roles across the tertiary education, arts and private sectors.

    Beth is an alumna of the University of Adelaide (Bachelor of Arts (English and Anthropology)) and also holds a Master of Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Business from the University of South Australia.

    Jasmin Weatherley

    Jasmin Weatherley

    Global Intelligence & Engagement Senior Officer

    Jasmin manages the Global Engagement website and assists with the preparation of briefs, presentations, and other communication materials to support the development and delivery of the University’s global engagement activities.

    Prior to working at the University of Adelaide, Jasmin held various communications roles in the government, private and not-for-profit sectors, including as a Media Advisor to the Leader of the Opposition in South Australia.

    Jasmin is an alumna of the University of Adelaide (Bachelor of Media).  

    Courtney Pasfield

    Courtney Pasfield

    Global Intelligence & Engagement Officer

    Courtney is responsible for managing inbound visits for representatives from international universities, organisations, and government bodies. She provides expertise in logistics management and visit protocol, in addition to coordinating onshore engagement and partnership events.

    Prior to her role at the University of Adelaide, Courtney worked as a venue coordinator for five venues with a not-for-profit organisation.

    Courtney holds a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Diploma of Event Management.
