Falling Walls Lab Adelaide 2025

In just 3-minutes, South Australian participants will present their research, business model or innovative idea, pitching their solution to a global challenge and showcasing a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society.

Past presentations include ‘Breaking the Wall of Plastic Accumulation’ and ‘Breaking the Wall of Cultural Barriers.’ The breakthrough factor and potential impact of the presented work as voted by the jury panel determines the winners.

The winners of Falling Walls Lab Adelaide will travel to Canberra to make their pitch on the national stage at the Australian Falling Walls Lab Finale on Monday 1 September.

The winner of the Australian Falling Walls Lab Finale will then travel to Berlin to compete in the Global Lab Finale on Thursday 6 November, attending the Falling Walls Science Summit and taking part in an exclusive extended program during their stay. At the Global Finale, the top 100 international Lab winners compete to become the Breakthrough Winner in the Emerging Talents category of Falling Walls. The winner will take home the title and prize money, and receive the opportunity to pitch their idea once again on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Breakthroughs of the Year.
