Associate Professor Mandar Oak, Deputy Dean (International) from the Faculty of the Professions, today hosted a webinar designed to provide students with an insight into the economic and employability impact of COVID-19 in Indonesia, delivered via Zoom to onshore and offshore University of Adelaide students.

The third instalment in our high-profile international alumni series, the webinar featured three distinguished alumni of the University of Adelaide: Mr Priyanto Nugroho, Director of the Department of Financial Market Development at Bank Indonesia; Ms Amalia Sosrodiredjo, Managing Director of Decorum Group Pty Ltd and South Australian Chair of the Australia Indonesia Business Council; and Mr Taufans Victor, Head of Planning and Budgeting Subdivision in the Fiscal Policy Agency within the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

The diverse panel represented Indonesian alumni who have established careers in both South Australia and Indonesia. The discussion focussed on the importance of embracing technology and developing new approaches to business in the wake of COVID-19, and the value of the relationship between Australia and Indonesia.

We thank our guest panellists for their generous contribution of their time and ideas to this student forum.
