Ambassador of Israel visits the University

Israel visit

On Tuesday 10 November, His Excellency Dr Tibor Shalev-Schlosser, Ambassador of Israel, and Mrs Eman Amasha, Spokesperson and Attaché for Cultural and Academic Affairs, visited the University of Adelaide to meet with key University figures in fields such as Languages, Innovation, Cyber, and Computer Science.

 

Welcoming His Excellency to our North Terrace campus (and pictured to the right) was Professor Jennie Shaw, Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic); Professor Ghil’ad Zuckermann, Professor of Linguistics and Endangered Languages; Dr Stephen Rodda, Executive Director, Innovation and Commercial; Emma Richards, Research Officer, Adelaide Rural Clinical School; and Dr Glen Stafford, Director, Internationalisation Strategy.

 

His Excellency was also briefed about the University’s research strengths and engagement with Israel by key researcher leads: Professor Michael Webb, Director, Defence, Cyber and Space; Professor Michael Goodsite, Director IMER & IEP Energy Mining and Resources; Professor Andrew Zannettino, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Health Partnerships); Dr Yuval Yarom, Senior Lecturer, School of Computer Science; and Afifa Eve Kheir Ferro, PhD student.
