Sustainability, Energy, and Environment

Sustainability, Energy, and Environment is the newest thematic area for collaboration between the University of Adelaide (UoA) and University of Freiburg (UFR).
It addresses critical global issues through a multidisciplinary approach to research and education. This theme encompasses a wide range of subfields, including:
- Governance of Sustainability
- Environmental Humanities
- Sustainable Systems Engineering and Built Environment
- Climate and Energy Transitions
By harnessing the expertise of UoA's Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Resources (ISER) and Environment Institute alongside UFR's renowned sustainability research capabilities, this collaboration aims to drive bold innovations for a greener future. Key projects for focus include sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and the creation of resilient urban systems.
