The Adelaide Graduate Research School works closely with business and industry leaders to identify opportunities for HDR students to collaborate on world-leading research, and solve real world problems.
Our innovative Research Internships program positions PhD students with a partner organisation for a three month placement, allowing them to develop their practical research skills and gain important sector business knowledge. The AGRS Industry Engagement team is available to discuss engagement opportunities with current and prospective students.

HDR students looking to enhance their employability outside of academia have access to a range of training and development opportunities. The Career and Research Training (CaRST) team provide courses and workshops on topics as diverse as management and leadership, internship skills, industry collaboration, entrepreneurship and research commercialisation.
Preparing for your Research Internship
The CaRST training course ‘Preparing for your Research Internship’ provides students with the knowledge necessary to thrive in industry. Current students enrolled in an internship program can complete this module at any time ahead of their placement.
