Professional Staff Development Scholarship Scheme
The Professional Staff Development Scholarship Scheme (PSDS Scheme) was initially introduced in the University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2014 – 2017 as a way of providing professional staff with development opportunities relevant to their role and sponsored by the University.
Clause 18.104.22.168 of the proposed Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will continue this commitment, with the University offering 40 scholarships annually, up to the value of $2700 for each scholarship.
In 2019, 20 scholarships will be allocated to staff participating in a University wide leadership program for HEO5 and HEO6 staff (Aspiring Leaders Program). Another 20 scholarships will be made available to all professional staff for development they individually choose, with possibly more being available if the allocated budget enables this.

General scholarships are open to professional staff classified HEO1-9 who:
- Are employed either full-time or part-time (greater than 0.5FTE);
- Have completed a minimum of 12 months continuous service at the University of Adelaide;
- Are employed on a continuing contract or who hold a fixed-term appointment, provided they are employed on a minimum two-year contract and have at least 12 months remaining on their contract
Casual staff are not eligible to apply.
