A HR Systems User Network has been established to discuss specific topics associated with the online HR systems. These systems include:

  • Staff Services Online (SSO)
  • Casual Pay Automation (CAPS)
  • Contract Review & Administration for Fixed Term (CRAFT)
  • UniSafe
  • Recruitment System (PageUp)
  • PeopleSoft
  • AppoINT

The following HR Systems User Network sessions are planned for 2017:

CASPA Replacement

More than 80% of the total enquiries logged by end users through the HR Service Centre are first contact enquiries where majority of end users wanted information on how to use CASPA or why something has occurred. Other Universities are using a solution that is either delivered as part of their enterprise system (PeopleSoft, Aurion, Alesco Talent2 HRIS) or a product/technology that can integrate well with their enterprise system. This year we will be focussing on replacing CASPA with the intent of implementing a new solution in 2018 to release the administration burden to the end users within the faculty and divisions.

Planned for Q4 2017.


AppoINT has replaced the use of PageUp for internal direct staff appointments with an automated PeopleSoft solution (similar to CRAFT) that caters for offer approval and initial contract generation (fixed term and continuing) for existing staff. All internal appointment offers will now be made through AppoINT. The system prepopulates with employee data and is a user friendly solution to ensure consistency and accuracy for our internal staff movements and reduce administration effort for direct appointments.
