Mr Peter Burgess

Peter Burgess is General Manager, Technical Services and Education at SuperConcepts. Peter is a member of SuperConcepts’ Leadership Team and heads SuperConcept’s highly regarded team of SMSF technical experts and educators.
Peter is responsible for the delivery of SuperConcept’s adviser education programs, the delivery of technical support services to SuperConcepts clients and SMSF Government policy advocacy.
Peter has a strong reputation as an authority in SMSF technical matters and Government policy design. He is an adjunct lecturer with the University of Adelaide and is a widely published author and media commentator on SMSFs.
In 2014 and 2015, Peter was recognised as one of the top 50 most influential social media users in finance by Financial Standard Magazine and in 2016, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the SMSF sector, Peter was awarded the SMSF Association’s Chairman’s Award.

Research Interests: Issues in Income Tax
Domenic is a lecturer within the Law School and also admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia. Domenic came to academia from a background in both the private and public sectors. He has published in major taxation journals in Australia and has been a frequent speaker and presenter at conferences and seminars run by the professional bodies. His research interests are in the areas of taxation of trusts, tax and anti-avoidance, taw law and statutory interpretation and the impact of administrative review on tax law.
Mr Peter Hogan

Peter is the Head of Technical for the SMSF Association. He has been involved in the financial services industry for over 30 years, working in industry associations, government, accounting, actuarial and financial services companies. He specialises in advising on tax and superannuation issues generally, assisting financial advisors and accountants with complex strategy and regulatory requirements.
Peter is particularly sought after in relation to Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) issues. He is a regular speaker at public, industry forums and conferences.
Prior to joining the SMSF Association, Peter was the National Manager SMSF Advice with MLC Advice Solutions. For the six years prior to this appointment Peter worked in his own business as a specialist SMSF adviser. He was formerly Head of Technical Services at Colonial First State for seven years and was Head of Technical Services at Macquarie Bank for five years before that.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University, a Diploma in Financial Planning and is an Accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor™ (SSA™).

Tania has sixteen years' experience in the financial services industry. Her role involved day to day dealings with all levels of clientele, up to and including Corporate Management.
Tania has also spent ten years in the University of Adelaide as an Executive Assistant in the Management and Financial Services areas. Her current role involves overseeing and managing all elements of the education provided by the Centre.

Ralf Zurbruegg is a Professor of Finance within the School of Accounting and Finance. He has held a number of administrative appointments within the university including as acting dean, associate dean, and deputy head plus serving on various committees both inside the University and in the private sector. Ralf has taught and held various visiting positions around the world, including the UK, Singapore, Switzerland, UAE and the US. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Bradford University School of Management, a Justice of the Peace for South Australia, serves on the editoral board of several journals, is the academic convenor of the International Centre for Financial Services and a director of a quantitative investment solutions company. He regularly consults for industry, particularly for the hedge fund sector, as well as being an expert witness on a number of state and federal court cases. He has also appeared on television and been quoted in national newspapers over the years.
