The University of Adelaide received the prestigious Australian Financial Review Higher Education Award for Research Commercialisation, highlighting our exceptional partnership with QuantX Lab Pty Ltd.
This award acknowledges the University’s excellence in translating university led research into a product and company delivering tangible commercial, economic, and societal benefits.
QuantX Labs is a University of Adelaide spinout helping to solve some of the world’s most complex and pressing problems using precision measurement and it is positioning Australia as a leader in quantum technology. QuantX Labs was founded on research from Professors Andre Luiten and John Hartnett from the University Adelaide’s Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS). In 2024 an exciting strategic partnership with Defence Trailblazer, the University of Adelaide and QuantX Labs was announced, building on four years of collaboration. Unlike many commercialisation efforts that end with an IP licensing agreement, both the University and QuantX Labs have actively supported the full technology transfer process.
Innovation and Commercialisation Services is proud to have supported the University's commercialisation process.

The award was accepted by Professor Michael Goodsite, PVC (Research Operations & Commercialisation), on behalf of Professor Anton Middelberg, DVC(Research) at the University of Adelaide, and QuantX Labs.
