The University of Adelaide recognised the outstanding contributions to society of four eminent Australians during the University’s April and May graduation ceremonies.
Former Prime Minister the Hon. Julia Gillard AC; South Australia’s Chief Scientist, Professor Caroline McMillen; Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Queensland Professor Peter Høj AC; and renowned ecologist Professor Hugh Possingham, were awarded honorary doctorates.
In April the University of Adelaide held an event that explored options for Australia to meet its climate change targets.
In May, SA Education Minister John Gardner announced the Government's support for the University of Adelaide's Open Music Academy.
