Engagement
Get involved, be heard and influence planning decisions on campus.
Tutorial rooms, lecture theatres, open spaces, laboratories - all of these spaces are created to help you learn and succeed at University. We need your input to make sure that new, and newly refurbished spaces on campus meet your needs, both now and in the future.

There are a number of ways to get involved:
- Join our Student Reference Group
- Look in Student News for opportunities to provide your feedback
- Participate in surveys and other engagement activities in Student Hubs
- Regularly check this web page for consultation opportunities
Student Reference Group
Students with an interest in the design and development of campus facilities are invited to join the Student Reference Group.
This informal group is the first to see what's being planned for a building, room or space. These students meet a few times a year to provide feedback on the design, functionality and features of new, or about to be refurbished spaces.
Since 2019, students have given input on layout, furniture and features of the teaching and learning spaces in Barr Smith South, the plans for Union House and the North Terrace Public Realm project. They have also provided valuable feedback on labs and teaching spaces across our campuses.
If you'd like to find out more before signing up, contact Sonja Graetz, Communications and Engagement Manager for Infrastructure.
