Wills Solar Installation
Investing in low carbon technologies for campus buildings will help Schools and Faculties reduce operational expenses long-term. The 60kW Solar installation on the Kenneth Wills building rooftop is estimated to generate 93,500 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity per year, and save nearly 60 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
- The installation covers the whole of the Wills building rooftop, including The Cog and the DVCA main offices
- Each year, the new 60kW Solar PV system will generate enough clean (zero carbon) electricity to power 18 South Australian homes
- This is equivalent to the removal of approximately 13 passenger vehicles per year from South Australian roads
