What you can raise with us
Raise a concern with us if you, or someone you know in the University community, has experienced:
- gender-based violence
- sexual harm, including sexual harassment or sexual assault
- discrimination, racism or harassment
- fraud or corruption.
If what happened caused you distress, we encourage you to get support.
For the University's commitment, the National Code and the Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Plan, see Addressing gender-based violence.
If you want your report treated as a public interest disclosure, read how the University handles public interest disclosures.
What happens when you report
Responsibilities of public officers
If you're a University employee or provide services to the University, you're a public officer who is required by law to report certain types of conduct.
You must report any matter you reasonably suspect to be corruption in South Australian public administration to the Office for Public Integrity. You are also encouraged to report misconduct or maladministration.
Disclosures of public interest information are protected by law. Read how the University handles public interest disclosures.
Reporting outside Adelaide University
You can report to an external body instead of, or as well as, Adelaide University. If your concern involves possible criminal conduct, consider reporting it to police – and let us know so we can support you.
Support services
If you've experienced or witnessed behaviour that caused you distress, wellbeing support is available. Independent services include sexual assault, domestic and family violence, and LGBTIQA+ support.
