COMBS Research Seminar Series

The ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science (COMBS) has officially launched its Centre-wide seminar series!
Dr Chris Perrella delivered the opening presentation, "Analysing Combs with a Speckle Spectrometer," diving into the nature of speckle, its innovative use with frequency combs, early experimental results, and future directions.
The work was a collaboration with Graham Bruce and Morgan Facchin from the University of St Andrews, supported by key contributions from Prof David Lancaster, Dr Sarah Scholten, Prof Andre Luiten, and Associate Prof Andreas Boes, at the Adelaide node.
This seminar was coordinated by Professor Kishan Dholakia and his team. Kishan is Director of the Centre of Light for Life, leader of the South Australian Node of COMBS, and head of the Spectroscopy and Microscopy research area.
It was great to see strong local attendance and nearly 40 participants joining online. The seminar series is designed to foster collaboration, share knowledge across the Centre, and spark new ideas between COMBS nodes and beyond.
We’re looking forward to the conversations and innovations the upcoming sessions will inspire!
