The Colour of Fire: Sinophone Performance across Australia and Cultural Exchange

Sinophone performance across Australia has a rich history and cultural significance that has not been fully documented or widely appreciated.

This international conference explored the reach of Sinophone performance across our region, its many forms, long history and contemporary expression.

Keynote speaker: Professor Kwok-kan Tam, Dean of the School of the Humanities and Social Science and Chair Professor of English at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.

The conference was scheduled to coincide with the OzAsia Festival in Adelaide, 20 October - 6 November 2022.

The Colour of Fire was organised by Centre Director Professor Anne Pender, Associate Professor Jonathan Bollen (UNSW) and Dr. Tsan-Huang Tsai.
