In 2016, the Student Engagement CoP investigated how students and staff view student engagement in its many forms. We held three workshops with students and staff to collect their views, and had individual meetings with others.
One thing that was recognised was that the teaching staff in contact with students on a day-to-day basis need to know accurate information about services students can be referred to in order to help students engage fully. In July we organised an information session for staff to tell them all about these services.

In 2015, we explored a similar concept of how staff can have an impact on students. We created information sheets on words to use with students and assumptions versus reality, as well as a video about the power of the Little Things.
Finally, we have collectively written our Community of Practice Blog, which will continue to be written in 2017. http://blogs.adelaide.edu.au/communities-of-practice/category/student-engagement/
