Services For Waite-Affiliated Organisations

We support staff of PIRSA, SARDI, AWRI and CSIRO. Members can borrow items from the collection, get research assistance and talk to experts about finding information.

Membership is free for all affiliated staff and includes:

  • Borrowing at all of the library locations
  • Being able to request an item and have it delivered to your campus library 
  • Access to a broad range of online resources, including online journals and ebooks (PIRSA/SARDI only)
  • Reciprocal borrowing from the Flinders University Library and University of South Australia Library

Access to the Interlibrary Loan service
General advice and support from Ask Library with specialist research support provided by the Faculty of Sciences liaison librarian team.
  • How to join

    As a PIRSA, SARDI, AWRI or CSIRO staff member you are eligible to join the University Library. 

    To register and receive your library ID card, simply email or visit the Waite Library with the following information:

    • a completed Waite Affiliated form
    • proof of employment with PIRSA/SARDI. This could be:
      • a copy of a payslip or ID card
      • a letter of offer of employment stating contract expiry date
      • a letter on letterhead requesting membership, giving name, dept. and address, email address, phone number and term of employment.

    Access to online resources

    PIRSA and SARDI members have access to large range of online resources, accessible via Library Search and outlined on the guide to library services for PIRSA and SARDI staff.

    Access to online resources

    Online resources must be accessed at any branch library using our public access computers. Access to online resources is not available from home using your login details.
