Services For Year 11 & 12 Students

The University Library offers free library membership for Year 11 and 12 students who need access to comprehensive research materials. 

The Year 11 and 12 program is available to all South Australian schools and includes:

  • Membership for up to 12 months.
  • 45 minute library orientation sessions for Year 11 and 12 classes, including a tour of the library.
  • Advance bookings are essential. Please contact us at least 3 weeks in advance. Groups should be accompanied by their teacher(s).
  • Preferred times for bookings: 
    Monday and Wednesday: between 9:30am -3:30pm
    Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: between 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Borrow up to 20 items for 4 weeks (with automatic renewals)
Borrow 3-hour High use Collection items (no automatic renewals)
Support with finding information and using the library from our Ask Library team.

Access to electronic resources: it’s important to know that you won't get access to online resources from home due to licensing restrictions. We have public access computers that will allow you to search most of our databases, but there is limited access to public computers. Some electronic resources are restricted for use by University staff and students only.

    You can borrow from any of the University of Adelaide Libraries, although there are some books or items that will only be for use in the library - please speak to an Ask Library team member for more information. Login to My Library to see what you currently have out on loan (to do this, please create an account on the sign-in page using your registered email address).
