The superintendent was Dr Julius Drescher (name misspelt on page 1). About German settlers brought to SA by The South Australian Company.

A detailed list of titles and outline of content of German language periodicals in Department of German ca 1962. Includes various literary articles (two at least by Sacher-Masoch); also some details about the literary supplement to the ‘Australische Zeitung’ and some anti-British articles.

The current location of the periodicals is unknown.

1. ‘The Lutheran Pilgrim Fathers’ Annotated and corrected typescript (42 p. in 3 sections)

2. ‘Notes on the European background of migrations from Germany.’ Typescript (45 p.)
Begins with ’our thanks’ to Dr. Hermann Sasse of the Lutheran seminary for information’

3. Appendix 1: ‘List of adult German immigrants arriving on the Prince George 1838, and the Bengalee 1838, also list of first settlers in Hahndorf from Australian Lutheran Almanac 1928 and 1929’. Also ‘Origins and some names of Old Lutheran immigrants’. Typescript (5 p.)
The material may come from Iwan ‘Um des Glaubens willen nach Australien’. Includes the names of a few women.
