Adelaide University Village offers comfortable, all-inclusive student living at an affordable price and in a great location. The Adelaide Central Markets are a short walk from the Village, where you'll find fresh and healthy market produce, including fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood.

Adelaide's Chinatown precinct is located next to the Central Markets - you can choose from a wide range of food options, from food courts to specialist supermarkets and affordable restaurants. The neighbouring Gouger Street café precinct also contains an array of dining options. Sit outside during summer's balmy evenings, or cosy up indoors with friends or housemates during the winter months.

Adelaide University Village is the perfect platform to enjoy a supported transition into university life. You'll have access to our award-winning student engagement program, which offers regular learning support, sport and social activities - all planned and conducted in-house - as well as additional support during intensive study periods. 

The Village features a range of popular amenities, including a spacious recreation room complete with home entertainment theatre, a PlayStation compound, pool table and table tennis table. Make the most of your free time, meet fellow students and build lasting friendships that transcend borders. 

As a resident at the Village, you'll be able to study in comfort in a supportive environment, whether completing assignments or prepping for exams. You'll enjoy free and unlimited wifi across the facility, along with a computer room equipped with Mac and PC computers, and a wireless printer you can connect to from your personal device. 

You can also book dedicated study rooms with HD screens free of charge, for individual or group study. 

The Village offers independent living in a supervised environment. University staff and security personnel are available at the main entrance 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, to ensure the facility is always safe and kept conducive to academic success.

Only registered occupants of The Village can gain entry to the facility or access to the accommodation precinct via an access control system. Security cameras are installed throughout common areas and are monitored both locally and by the Adelaide City Campus security office. 

The Adelaide University Village shuttle offers a direct link to the City campuses and provides seamless connections to the rest of the university campuses.

For Magill, Mawson Lakes, or Waite Campus, simply hop off at the Bus Interchange Centre to connect with a public Adelaide Metro bus. For Roseworthy Campus, students can easily catch the Inter-campus shuttle directly from the City Campus East.

  • Free shuttle service operated for the exclusive use of Adelaide University Village Residents, seats are limited and must be booked in advance.

Room features

Adelaide University Village has been intentionally designed to cater for a wide range of student needs, with several living options available. 

Fully furnished and warmly decorated five-bedroom townhouses or four-bedroom apartments are available, complete with generous common living spaces and  functional bedrooms. The spacious common kitchens are shared with housemates, and include a large fridge, electric cooktop and oven, as well as small appliances like a toaster and kettle.

Choose between a private bedroom with its own bathroom, or a shared bathroom with one other student of the same gender.

2026 accommodation fees

The accommodation fees listed below are for a full year agreement and represent a cost per person.

Fees include the cost of all utilities (unlimited wireless internet, water, gas and electricity) and are paid to the University in two instalments over the course of the year.

Townhouse

  • A bedroom with private bathroom: AUD $21,840
  • A bedroom with shared bathroom*: AUD $19,760

Apartment

  • A bedroom with Shared bathroom*: AUD $19,760

 

*Refundable security deposit: AUD $500
*Bathrooms are shared between two occupants of the same gender. Fees listed represent the annual cost (52 weeks) of an accommodation place at Adelaide University Village in 2026.
