Entrepreneurship

Every technological advance of the past decade began as an idea, and was brought into reality through entrepreneurship.

Engineers who complement creativity, problem-solving and technical skills with entrepreneurial expertise are uniquely capable of commercialising innovations.

In this minor, you'll learn the processes, risks, rewards, motivations and societal impacts of innovation and entrepreneurship from regional, national and global perspectives.

As an engineer, you'll push boundaries by developing new processes and technologies. With added entrepreneurial capability, you'll be able to successfully translate your work into patented and commercialised inventions. You may choose to: create your own start-up venture; collaborate with other entrepreneurs; or innovate for large corporations, the not-for-profit sector, or community organisations.
