**Quadratic Equations**

Algebra allows us to work with numbers whose values we don't know, and
is essential for problem solving.

This section looks at quadratic equations. These are encountered regularly
in real life problems, though not as frequently as linear equations. The factorisation method of solution is used mainly for classroom problems
and in theoretical mathematics. The quadratic formula is usually used in
real life applications.
