A selection of memorabilia from Michael Milburn and other South Australian collectors.
From the destruction of Belgium to the victory in 1918, this exhibition will take the viewer through an intimate understanding of the suffering and day to day life of the ordinary soldiers, the modernisation of guns, transports and the nursing stations, and the heart breaking messages of soldiers and their families.

Over 200 medical students and medical practitioners of South Australia served in World War I. Christopher Verco is co-author of Blood, Sweat and Fears: medical practitioners and medical students of South Australia who served in World War I, along with Annette Summers, Tony Swain and Michael Jelly. The book is a biographical dictionary, which comprises 203 one-page biographies documenting the lives of those who served. Come along and meet the authors, and learn about some of the remarkable men and women whose lives have been chronicled in this important work.
