Roundtable: Framing the Futures of the South China Sea

The South China Sea has been attracting the world's attention for its maritime disputes. However, beyond the disputes the South China Sea is one of the world's most biodiveristy rich areas and an important fishing ground for people in the region. This Seminar will feature a Keynote Speech by Prof. Dr Julia Guifang Xue, Koguan Chair Professor of the Law of the Sea, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, who is one of most promient law of the sea scholars in China. There will be three follow-up presentations and Q&A session with aim to frame the futures of the South China Sea beyond disputes.
