Directing Theatre: A Conversation with Chris Drummond & Andy Packer

In celebration of our 80th anniversary, the University of Adelaide Theatre Guild is proud to announce
a very special free event!

Join two of the Guild's most illustrious alumni, Chris Drummond (Artistic Director, Brink Productions) and Andy Packer (Artistic Director, Slingsby) in a free Q&A / workshop / masterclass in Directing for Theatre.

This free masterclass will provide an open space for all attendees to ask our guests for their unique professional perspectives on theatre and directing, and to have the answers to those questions discussed, workshopped and expanded upon in an inclusive and supportive group environment.

Following the workshop we invite all attendees to join with our guests for informal drinks and nibbles provided by the Theatre Guild.

Chris says, "It's a thrill to be asked back to the Guild in its 80th year. It's where I got my start as a theatre director and that's something I'll always be grateful for."

Andy says, "The Guild was the place where I was first given the opportunity to take risks, learn from experiments, begin to find my own voice as an artist and make lifelong friends. I am thrilled to return."
Whether you're an inspiring new director or a seasoned veteran, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and pick the brains of two of South Australia's best on the art of directing theatre.

In 2010 the ABC's Limelight magazine nominated as one of the top 50 players in the arts in Australia
