Bragg Lecture Theatre, University of Adelaide

To mark Science Week, the Friends of the University of Adelaide Library, together with University Arts and Heritage Collections, present a joint screening of Microbes to Macrobes: the story of Frank Fenner.

Microbes to Macrobes is a 60-minute documentary film about one of Australia's most distinguished scientists, Professor Frank Fenner, whose career spanned almost 60 years.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session featuring Linda Cooper, the film's Executive Producer, and University of Adelaide Emeritus Professor Chris Burrell AO, President of the Friends of the Library, microbiologist and former student of Professor Fenner.

Microbes to Macrobes looks at both the professional and personal life of this outstanding Australian through a blend of moving dramatisation, quirky animation to explain the science, rare archival footage and intimate interviews with Frank, his family and his colleagues.

Bookings can be made through Robina Weir (see details below) by Thursday 9 August 2012.
