Adelaide's most popular daytime concert series, Lunchtimes at ELDERHALL, returns for the second semester on Friday 29 July with a Luxembourg-based duo, cellist Niall Brown and Isabelle Trüb on piano, performing Brahms and Debussy.

The series, which is celebrating its 20th birthday in 2011, is going from strength to strength.

"The lunchtime concert series gives our music students and staff a fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills in front of a large and appreciative audience," says Elder Hall Concert Manager Claire Oremland.

"It also gives Adelaide audiences a chance to see some superb musicians from around Australia and the world for a fraction of the price they would normally pay."

Other highlights this season include three wonderful vocal concerts - Elgar's glorious Sea Pictures with mezzo-soprano Catriona Barr in August; in September one of Australia's leading jazz vocalists Michelle Nicolle with her own trio from Melbourne; and in October, Adelaide Baroque will delight with special guest Emma Horwood in a program of 'early music'.

Lovers of keyboard will also be spoilt for choice between recitals by Australian-born, UK-based harpsichord player Luke Green; Sydney pianist Bernadette Harvey; and organist Kemp English in an all-Bach program.

The talented young students of the Elder Conservatorium of Music get a chance to shine when guest conductor and violinist Lachlan Bramble leads the Chamber Orchestra in August and Bob Hower conducts the Wind Orchestra in October.

Great chamber music, always a feature of Lunchtimes at ELDERHALL, includes performances from Ensemble Le Monde, the Elder Trio and touring woodwind Trio Suave.

To celebrate the 20 years of Lunchtimes at ELDERHALL, the Australian String Quartet presents an extra concert at the end of the season.
