The University of Adelaide's Bonython Hall will be full of the sounds and colour of Christmas with its free Carols on Campus on Tuesday 18 December at 7pm.

In the tradition of 'Carols from King's' at the University of Cambridge, Carols on Campus, will feature a full academic procession, soloists and choristers from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, and the magnificent Bonython Hall organ.

The one-hour program includes Christmas music, traditional carols and readings by University staff ranging from Tennyson's Ring Out, Wild Bells, through Banjo Patterson's Santa Claus, to an excerpt from Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.

Among the readers will be University Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Warren Bebbington. The evening's Master of Ceremonies will be Vice-President (Services and Resources) Paul Duldig.

Everyone is welcome to Carols on Campus. For those who can't make it to Bonython Hall, it will be streamed live at http://www.adelaide.edu.au/live/

Those wishing to donate to children in need are welcome to bring an unwrapped present to be placed under the University's Christmas Giving Tree in Bonython Hall. The gifts will be distributed by The Smith Family.
