125 years – Aboriginal Women’s Suffrage Exhibition

125 Suffrage

This exhibition features the creative talent of photographer Colleen Raven Strangways of Nharla Photography. Her contemporary portraits of Aboriginal women capture a determined spirit, resonant with the suffrage movement 125 years ago, and vital in the fight for equity for First Nation Australians.

Created as part of the University of Adelaide’s celebrations of the 125th anniversary of women’s suffrage in South Australia. This exhibition was curated by Dr Jennifer Caruso, Lecturer, Department of History, in collaboration with Amy Dale, Exhibitions Coordinator, University Library.
