Taming your inner critic with Clare Bowditch

Clare Bowditch joins Bupa to share candid, heartfelt stories and to invite us to reflect on the question of what it might mean to live a ‘well-lived’ life.

Already a known and celebrated singer-songwriter, Clare surprised many with the release of her award-winning and best selling memoir ‘Your Own Kind of Girl’ – a previously untold, deeply personal account of her twenties, marked by a profound struggle with, and recovery from, an episode of acute mental ill-health that she was not expecting.

Her experience – learning to live well with anxious rumination and childhood grief – now shapes what Clare today considers her most meaningful work: equipping others with the practical tools and creative-thinking techniques that, when applied, allow us to navigate life’s uncertainties and complexities with courage, self-compassion, and resilience.
