ImmigrAction: A visual journey of migration and health

The ImmigrAction Photo Exhibition explores the lived experiences of newly arrived Brazilian migrants in Adelaide through their own eyes - and their own lenses. This exhibition is the outcome of the research project: “Bridging cultures: Understanding Brazilian migrant perspectives in Adelaide – A Photovoice study”. Health Equity Reading Group

The Health Equity Reading Group promotes discussion and debate on a broad range of topic areas with a particular focus on health, equity, wellbeing, and public policy. The presenters will be Professor Megan Warin, from the School of Social Sciences speaking on a paper entitled 'Injecting care and negotiating pleasures with weight loss pharmaceuticals'; and Dr Jared Dmello, Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences on 'LGBTIQ victimisation by extremist organisations'.
