The University of Adelaide’s Adelaide Business School has appointed a new MBA Director, Associate Professor Gary Bowman.
Associate Professor Bowman is exceptionally well credentialed and has a wealth of professional, academic, and international experience, particularly in the fields of strategy and risk.
“I’m delighted to be a part of such a prestigious MBA program and be able to help so many driven individuals take their careers to the next level. The city of Adelaide is probably one of the most exciting places to be in Australia right now. To be able to complete South Australia’s number one MBA program in such a hub of opportunity is going to be a springboard to success for all our students,” said Associate Professor Bowman.
Prior to joining the University of Adelaide, Gary was at Bond University on the Gold Coast where he was MBA Director and Associate Professor of Global Strategy. He also led Bond Business School’s research team on governance, accountability and purpose.

His postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge, where he was the Cambridge-Singapore Risk Fellow, focused on the socio-economic impact of catastrophic events.

It was vital we found a Director who values the importance of this position and who could add even further expertise to our program. It is essential that our MBA students are equipped to deal with complex problems in a systemic, integrated and collaborative fashion to enable them to become future leaders.
