With a few last minute replacements due to injury and illness, our Uni Ops team did a fantastic job and crossed the line in sixth place this year. Late additions to the team were Andrew Heath (for Nathan Twisk) and Belinda Fordham (for Cathy Gardiner).

It appears we are now through the worst of the wild weather that has buffeted South Australia over the last 48 hours. All three of the University’s main campuses were affected by the power outage which occurred Wednesday afternoon and evening. I wanted to acknowledge the diligence and professionalism of our Campus Services staff, including the Security team.
As always I am amazed that it’s already time to start thinking about our December activities, and of course that means our annual Divisional Awards for Excellence and End-of-Year event.
It is with a great deal of regret that I write to inform you that our CIO, Mark Gregory, has been appointed to the role of Vice-President, Corporate Services at Flinders University. This is a fantastic opportunity for Mark and one which is extremely well-deserved.
On 26 July 2016, the Vice-Chancellor sent a message to all staff outlining the major findings of the Your Voice Survey. In that message he summarised some of the strengths and areas of concern which had emerged from the responses at a whole of University level. Since then I have been provided with a report of the Division’s results; the culmination of your feedback. I’ve attached the report for your interest.
