2015 Biosecurity Act
The 2015 Biosecurity Act was passed by Parliament in May 2015 and received Royal Assent on June 16 2015. The main changes for the University are administrative, however researchers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the relevant fundamentals of the new Act.
Plant Health Legislation in South Australia
On August 1st, 2009 the Plant Health Act 2009 came into force.
Researchers need to ensure that plant material sourced from interstate complies with the appropriate phytosanitary or plant health certificates accompanying.

Plant Quarantine Standard
The Plant Quarantine Standard (PQS) was established under the Act to identify the relevant conditions of entry for a particular fruit, vegetable, plant, plant products, machinery or equipment used by a plant industry.
