Research Tuesdays Lecture Series: Revolutionising radiation protection
Radiation can save lives—and harm them. It helps treat cancer and power protective technologies, but exposure can be fatal.
University of Adelaide researchers have used a daisy-like herb derivative to develop the first multi-organ pill aimed at radiation protection. The ‘Daisy Project’ intends to shield patients during treatment, civilians during accidents, and military personnel in combat zones.
