Teaching support: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander considerations

The Library offers support that can assist staff to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives. Our staff can work with you to assess, recommend and advise how to embed diverse perspectives within your class format, recommended readings, class exercises and to examine any biases that may be present.If you are interested in this service, book a dedicated session to explore your options.

International Transgender Day of Visibility

Monday 31 March is the International Transgender Day of Visibility. This annual event celebrates trans pride and awareness, recognising the experiences and achievements of transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary individuals. Visit the national website or watch some personal stories and consider undertaking Ally Network training.

Introduction to Strategic Journal Publishing

Liaison librarians will provide guidance on finding journals in different disciplines and assessing journal quality (including rankings and impact factor) using tools such as Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scopus and Scimago (SJR). Learn how to evaluate predatory journals, assess open access opportunities, and select the best option to maximise research impact. Tuesday 8 April, 11 am to 12 pm. Online. Register.
