116th Rhodes Scholar-elect

Jessica March has been named the University of Adelaide's 116th Rhodes Scholar-elect at a ceremony at Government House in September. Ms March completed a Bachelor of Economics (Advanced) at the University in 2024, and is currently working as a paralegal for the Crown Counsel team within the South Australian Crown Solicitor's Office, while completing a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Guidelines International Network Najoua Mlika-Cabanne award

Dr Danielle Pollock (School of Public Health) from Health Evidence Synthesis, Recommendations and Impact (HESRI) was the winner of the Najoua Mlika-Cabanne award for her contributions to evidence synthesis synthesis and guideline development methods alongside her work the Chair of the GIN ANZ Region at the recent Guidelines International Network conference held in Geneva.

2025-26 Maitri Scholarships and Fellowships Programs

The 2025-26 Maitri Fellowships and Scholarships programs are now open. The Fellowship program supports researchers to undertake secondments with Australian and Indian organisations to enhance public discourse on bilateral, economic and broader geostrategic relationships. The Scholarships program helps high-performing Indian scholars complete tertiary studies in STEM-related fields at Australian universities. Further information.

2025-26 Maitri Grant Program

The 2025-26 Maitri Grant program is now open and has been expanded with over $5 million available to support projects that will strengthen the Australia-India relationship in new and innovative ways across a number of sectors. Help shape future health professionals 2025 - Admissions interviewer volunteers

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is inviting volunteers to participate in the 2025 Domestic Admission Interviews for Medicine, Dentistry, and Oral Health. These interviews are a critical part of the selection process for future health professionals and offer a meaningful opportunity to help shape the next generation of graduates. Learn to program: Python

Python has deservedly become a popular language for scientific computing and among researchers, but getting started can be challenging, especially if you have never programmed before. That's where this introductory live coding workshop comes in, where we will use Jupyter notebooks to write programs and produce results. Thursday 16 to Friday 17 October, 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Online. Expressions of interest to present on green transition, hydrogen, and more

Academic staff and HDR students are invited to submit an EOI to present at the Adelaide University - Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Joint Research Roundtable, focusing on sustainable green transition, hydrogen, artificial intelligence and quantum computing. Further information.

IT support requests

From Friday 17 October, all IT support requests should be raised via the IT Interim Support page or by calling IT on (08) 8302 5000. To support the transition, the legacy portals and UniSA IT Help Desk email will remain in place until Wednesday 5 November, but any requests will be redirected to the new system. After 5 November, these systems will no longer be available.
