AI bootcamps: February 2026

Register your interest in Intersect's South Australian AI bootcamp starting February 2026. These bootcamps are intensive programs designed to equip researchers with cutting-edge AI skills, comprised of four specialised modules: Generative AI & Large Language Models; Machine Learning Operations (MLOps); Computer Vision; and Reinforcement Learning. Each bootcamp consists of five full days of hands-on training, led by research data scientists and AI experts, over seven weeks. The annual Waite Christmas wine sale

On Thursday 4 December, between 10 am and 4 pm, the Waite winery will host its annual Christmas wine sale. Order on Tuesday 2 December to pick up on the day of the sale. These prices are only available until the end of the sale day. Register your interest and receive a sneak peek at pricing on Monday 1 December.

Security reception relocation

From Tuesday 16 December, the North Terrace Campus Security office reception desk will relocate to the eastern side of Confucius Court, with an additional entrance directly through Hub Central. Upgraded facilities include shared workspaces, a private meeting room, a staff lunch area, and extra space to support security operations.

IT Security alert: ClickFix attacks on the rise

ClickFix is a tactic that tries to push you into giving hackers direct access to your device. It targets you through sudden pop-ups that look urgent and technical. The goal is simple: get you to run commands that hand control to an unauthorised party. More information

Infrastructure support desk holiday closure

The Infrastructure support desk, including Access Control and Bookings & Events, will close from Tuesday 23 December at 1 pm. During this time, only emergency maintenance requests can be lodged with Security on 8313 5990. Building access and booking requests required over the closure period must be submitted by Wednesday 17 December at 5 pm. Security will only provide access in critical emergencies. The new Estates & Facilities Customer Service Desk will reopen on Monday 5 January 2026 with a new contact number, 8302 1000.

Women’s Professional Development Network

It’s been an eventful 30th anniversary year for our Women’s Professional Development Network. Capped off by The Governor’s Award for Business Achievement in Gender Equity in September, and wrapping up a record-breaking 2025 mentoring program last week, the network has enjoyed a highly successful final year at the University of Adelaide.
