Recognition of Outstanding Service and Contribution Reception
On Friday 7 November, the University hosted a morning tea to honour staff who have reached 40 or more years of continuous service. The event recognised the dedication, wisdom, and contributions of the following individuals to the University community: Peter Apoefis, Greg Badger, Antoinette Brincat, Helen Brown, Jordana Feek, Heather Fraser, Professor Michael Horowitz, Professor David Kennaway, Christopher Leigh, Marisa Lopresto, Antonietta Luppino, Joanne Moore, Morena Pelle, Julie Raeck, Jennifer Richter, Professor Anthony Thomas AC FAA, Stephen Whittington, Dr Peter Zalewski and Dr Peter Zilm.

Advance HE Fellows
Congratulations to Dr Rachael Farrington, Dr Ngoc Nhu Nguyen (Ruby) and Dr Mahmud Al Masum who have received the Advance HE Fellowship in recognition of their reflective and effective professional practice in teaching and support of learning.
Interim Casual Staff Request process
An interim process has been implemented to allow hiring managers/supervisors to engage with casual staff for AU, with commencement dates from January 2026. This will be in effect from 10 November 2025. More information.
Remembrance Day
On Tuesday 11 November, the RSL will be holding the annual Remembrance Day Service at the War Memorial on North Terrace. Kintore Ave (between North Terrace and Morgan Thomas Lane) and North Terrace (between King William and Pulteney Street) will be closed from 10.30–11.30 am. On North Terrace, eastbound lanes will be closed to traffic, but one westbound lane will be maintained to provide access to the car parks on North Terrace.
