South Australian Science Excellence Awards
World-renowned University of Adelaide medical expert Professor Helen Marshall AM has been named the SA Scientist of the Year, alongside experts who have been recognised for excellence in their chosen fields.

Global Youth Committee
Faculty of ABLE student Emily Parsons is one of 17 young leaders nationally selected to sit on a Global Youth Committee established by the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership and chaired by Julia Gillard. The Committee aims to bridge the gap between the experiences of young people and the policies that dictate their lives.
AIEC Awards
The University of Adelaide and University of Adelaide College have jointly won the Best Training award at the Australian International Education Conference, after being nominated for the award by one of the industry’s largest agents, AECC Global.
2023 AMI Excellence Awards
The Marketing team won the Content Marketing award at the Australian Marketing Institution’s Excellence Awards, and were also national finalists in awards for Social Media Marketing, Small Budget Marketing, and Brand Revitalisation, as well as the ROI category of the Advertising Council Australia Effie Awards.
Awards for Adelaide Dental School
PhD candidate Sonia Nath and Honours student Vanessa Burns (Adelaide Dental School) both had success in the Colgate Research Awards at the Australia/New Zealand Division of the International Association for Dental Oral and Craniofacial Research annual conference in Sydney last week.
English Australia John Gallagher award
Sandra Caon-Parsons, Education Advisor at the English language Centre was awarded the English Australia John Gallagher award for 2023. English Australia is the national peak body for the English language sector of international education in Australia. The award recognises the outstanding contribution of an individual to the ELICOS sector. More information.
Tony McMurtrie Award for Academic Integrity nominations
Nominate yourself or a colleague for the Tony McMurtrie Practitioner Award for Academic Integrity, awarded to a staff member (academic or professional) who exemplifies academic integrity values: honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage. University Awards for Outstanding Achievement
Submit your online nomination for the 2023 University Awards for Outstanding Achievement. Eureka prize winners
Cutting-edge medical research carried out at the University has been awarded prizes for excellence in the prestigious 2023 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes. Two projects won awards for innovative medical imaging techniques to help treat children with cystic fibrosis and for the improved diagnosis of endometriosis using artificial intelligence. Read more.
