Career support for international students

Our award winning careers service provides outstanding careers support to all international students. The Careers International Project team provides a range of tailored programs and resources to assist international students to plan for their future careers and compete for graduate jobs.

Virtual Career Support

COVID-19 Update: In responding to COVID-19 and practicing social distancing, we have made all of our support services online which has also enabled us to reach out to international students who are still studying in their home countries due to travel restrictions. This includes online career advice appointments for international students, resume and cover letter checking via VMock and ZOOM, tailored interview workshops and professional English communication training modules as well as opportunities to connect international students virtually with local and overseas employers.

International students can access these services through the University of Adelaide official online Job Portal - CareerHub. On CareerHub you will find job opportunities in Australia and overseas as well as internships and other career development opportunities with local organisations. You can also complete your registration for online employer events as well as customized career development workshops. We have also updated resources such as global job market analysis, resume & cover letter templates and workshop recordings to assist international students in preparation for job hunting.

We understand challenges facing by international students particularly under the great uncertainties brought by COVID-19. Thus the Careers Services team is committed to design and deliver a series of panel discussions joined by the University of Adelaide alumni / recent graduates focusing on cross-cultural communication, networking, job hunting strategies, personal branding, developing technical skills and more importantly how are the panel speakers coping with COVID-19 in their organizations. Students will be able to access these sessions via ZOOM and interact with our panel speakers for Q&A. International students will be informed of these sessions via CareerHub broadcast email. Recordings can be accessed from the links below if students have missed any session due to other academic commitments.
