Flexible Appointments

Career Services have options for virtual or face-to-face on-campus appointments for all students whether you are online, on-campus or offshore. We are committed to supporting you no matter where you are based and what your appointment preferences are.

The Career Services team can speak with you via phone (+61 8 8313 5123) between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday, enquiry form, or email. Alternatively you are welcome to pop in to Career Services, just outside the western doors of Hub Central between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday. 

  • Advice and Appointments

    Advice and appointments are available for students who require detailed career advice. As every situation is unique, we will talk about your specific situation and point you in the direction of guidance and support. There may be a wait-time between your enquiry and the date of your appointment. We also recommend that you review CareerHub resources before reaching out for an appointment to make sure you have explored all of your support options.

    We have interviewed hundreds of graduates from The University of Adelaide to find out where they are working now and how they got there. It's pretty inspiring! The profiles include great advice and insights for current students. Don't forget to filter by your own degree and check in as new profiles are updated frequently.

  • Career Mentoring

    If you're wanting specific advice and guidance on your career pathway from an industry expert you can join our structured mentoring program. Through mentoring you will be matched with an professional from your chosen industry and have the chance to develop real insights into the areas you're interested in, build career confidence and practice your networking skills. If you aren't able to commit to a full program but would like to learn how to approach your own mentor - we can help to guide you with that process too.

  • International student alumni mentoring

    Wouldn’t it be wonderful to talk with someone who has gone through a similar study experience and could offer advice about your career development? With the assistance of our international alumni network, we are proud to launch this new International Alumni Mentoring Program, which will provide extra support and career guidance for international students at the University of Adelaide. As role models and mentors, our international alumni have so much to offer to our current students and can provide insights into successful study and job hunting. The International Alumni Mentoring Program features our alumni who were our international students in the past and would like to contribute to the career development of current international students at the University of Adelaide. Alumni mentors will be able to easily relate to your current situation and share appropriate advice.

  • Industry Events

    Attending career-related industry events is a great way to explore different pathways, build your network and meet recruiters directly. Employers and industry host events on and off campus as well as virtually throughout the year and these are advertised on CareerHub. Check in with your Student Society to see if they are running industry events each semester and pay attention to larger annual events including Careers Expo and Grow Your Career Week which are vital when career planning.
