Wheelchair and Accessible Seating

If you are a graduate

If you are a graduate who will require accessible seating (i.e. if you are in a wheelchair, on crutches, or experience any other complication that will make it difficult for you to sit in pew seating) the Graduations Office is able to make arrangements to ensure that your ceremony will be as easy as possible.

So that these arrangements can be made, we ask that you indicate in your graduation application if you have any mobility difficulties. Alternatively, you can notify us via email at graduations@adelaide.edu.au. We will then contact you in the lead up to the ceremony to further discuss your requirements.

If you are a guest

Accessible seating and entry is available for guests. It is important that graduates indicate in their graduation application if they have guests who will require accessible seating, so that the we can ensure enough seating is available.

For guest seating in Bonython Hall, a ramp entry is available on the Eastern side of the building. This is the same entrance that the graduates use enter the Hall. Guests who have mobility difficulties are welcome to use this entrance, and guest entry will open approximately 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Guest tickets are required to be scanned at the entrance. If you are attending as a carer of a guest or a graduate, you will still be required to have a ticket for entry. Please be aware that because spaces are limited, accompanying guests may be required to sit a row or two behind the areas reserved for guests who have mobility difficulties.

Guests with prams are also welcome to enter Bonython Hall via the Eastern entrance. However, please be aware that prams are required to be left in the ambulatory once inside the Hall.
