FAQ - Final Graduation Ceremonies

The following outlines how testamurs/parchments, consistent with the regulatory obligations, will be issued to students graduating from Adelaide University:

• All students commencing with Adelaide University from 2026 (and beyond) will graduate with an Adelaide University award.
• Commencing students enrolling in 2025 (and who transfer from the University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia to the new university) will receive their award from Adelaide University.
• Students enrolled in or before 2024 (and who transfer from the University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia to Adelaide University) will receive their award from Adelaide University and will be able to elect to have the name and logo of the University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia displayed on their testamur (in a manner which is compliant with regulatory requirements).

All students, who complete their studies prior to 2026, regardless of commencement date, will receive an award from their current institution (either the University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia), but will also be considered as alumni of Adelaide University. They will be eligible to receive official confirmation of this from Adelaide University should they require it.

If you're attending a graduation in 2025 or March 2026, ceremonies will be held at the existing institutions in either Bonython Hall (University of Adelaide) or Pridham Hall (UniSA).

Details on the location of graduation ceremonies scheduled for September 2026 and beyond will be communicated closer to the date.

Students who graduated from 2017 have access to an electronic transcript via My eQuals. If you’re not able to access your transcript via the My eQuals website, please contact  Ask Adelaide.

Any award previously issued by The University of Adelaide remains valid, and unless the original parchment is lost or damaged, there is no requirement for the parchment to be reissued. Should you request a replacement document (due to the original being lost or damaged) a fee will apply.

If you have lost or damaged your parchment from The University of Adelaide you will be able to have a replacement parchment issued by Adelaide University.
The replacement parchment will bear the logo and seal of Adelaide University.

Academic transcripts issued by Adelaide University will include the logo of Adelaide University.

Transcripts issued for studies completed by the end of 2025 at The University of Adelaide will have the logo of The University of Adelaide.

Replacement transcripts requested after December 2025 will be issued with the logo of Adelaide University.

If you are completing your studies by December 31, 2025 you parchment will be issued in the program name you completed at The University of Adelaide.

All students who have courses/ assessments to complete after December 31, 2025 will transition to Adelaide University. All transitioning students would have received an email in February 2025 with the subject 'Your Transition to Adelaide University in 2026', most program names have been updated to reflect equivalent Adelaide University programs ahead of transition to Adelaide University in 2026.

This means if you are studying at Adelaide University from January 2026, at graduation, your parchment will feature the Adelaide University program name.

No. If you have not completed your program requirements by 31 December 2025, you will not be eligible to apply to confer in the final conferral period for The University of Adelaide.

In this instance, students will be required to apply for conferral from Adelaide University (AU) when their program requirements have been met in full.
